Cisco India Added 5,000 Small And Medium Clients This Year


The technology giant based in the US UU Cisco said it has seen strong traction in the small and medium-sized business segment (SMB) and added 5,000 new customers this year in India.

SMB is the fastest growing segment for Cisco in India, with an expansion of approximately 20% year-on-year.

'Base crew'

"We are seeing significant traction in our SME business, thanks to the 'Start' portfolio, and since the launch of the Cisco Start portfolio at FY17, we have approached 5,000 new customers in one year," the managing director of PTI told PTI. Cisco India and SAARC (commercial sales) Sudhir Nayar.

He added that the company is on track to reach its goal of tripling its SMB customer base to 75,000 by 2020. The company currently has between 25,000 and 30,000 SMBs as customers in India.

Earlier this year, Cisco unveiled 'Start' to offer a new set of solutions to help customers scan with wireless and secure connectivity for as little as $ 70 per user per year. The largest sector in SMB for Cisco are the IT / IT enabled services. "We are also seeing strong demand for small-scale manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, logistics, education, logistics, hospitality," he said.
